Coach boldly integrates Roblox to their iconic 5th Avenue Store for a limited time captivating experience
This weekend we visited Coach’s 5th Avenue iconic store to witness the Roblox Experience they created to showcase their 2 new Roblox experiences to the visitors of their store.
The experience was designed for the store’s second floor and the store had blue signs guiding visitors to go up there with the words of Coachtopia.
The second floor was flooded with vertical big screens and computers where we we are able to try dress a Zepeto avatar with the Coach’s virtual assets and play the 2 Roblox experiences Coach activated on.
There were several people in charge of the activation at the store guiding us into how to use the Zepeto app and the where to go inside the 2 Roblox video games: Fashion Famous 2 and Fashion Klossette.
Fashion Famous 2 starts in a cozy, lounge bar-themed waiting room where players gear up for the fun ahead.
When it’s time, players have 4 minutes to style a fresh new avatar (you can’t bring your own avatar into this game).
Once you’re in the game, you’ll immediately spot the Coach experience, featuring a fully branded room with all the assets you need to style your avatar.
The game setup isn’t quite finished yet, so players can’t use multiple Coach 3D assets at the same time (just only one). However, you can still style your avatar with all the other available assets and get ready for the show. Plus, with the game already boasting 2.2 billion visits, developers have plenty of time to tweak things and still attract lots of players to this exciting branded experience.
When the 4 minutes are up, the runway show begins! Players can vote on the best designs as avatars strut down the runway.
In the meantime, you can make your avatar perform various emotes to add some extra flair to the runway!
Fashion Klossette’s concept for the Coach activation takes a similar approach. Players enter the main room, where they can style mannequins with the brand's assets and other items. After 4 minutes, the fashion runway begins, and players get to vote on each design to pick a winner.
In this version, the models aren’t the usual Roblox avatars but more human-like versions, making the designs and the show even more engaging.
Both video games struck a fantastic balance between authentic game integration and the branded experience. The choice of games for the activation was so spot-on that it felt like a natural part of the game.
We also find it interesting that the campaign’s slogan was “Find Your Courage” with the hashtag #CourageToBeReal.
From Coach’s perspective, the campaign was quite daring, as they ventured into collaborations with Roblox, Zepeto, and other metaverse experiences like Imma Gram.
For brands today, being bold is key to understanding the benefits of activating on Roblox and taking the leap. This is why we named our community "Bold" and why we applaud Coach for diving into Roblox, showing other brands how to effectively engage on the platform and achieve excellent results.
